The Bubrig’s passion is giving the gift of a magical vacation to people from all over the world.
Kristi and her husband, Byron, took their love for the world’s favorite stories, fables, and fairytales—Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Howl’s Moving Castle, and more—and poured it into seven (and counting!) immersive vacation rental experiences. With ceilings fit for a half-giant to hidden bedrooms for young-at-heart wizards, Kristi and Byron infuse enchanting details into their vacation rentals so that you exit the ordinary and enter the extraordinary for however long you stay. Fablerealm is tucked away on the rolling hills of a 40-acre farm in Chickamauga, Georgia.
Chickamauga is about 20 minutes from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and just under a two-hour drive from Atlanta.
Check-in is at 3 p.m. EST, and check-out is at 12 p.m. EST.
If you need to check in early, just ask Kristi when you’re arranging your stay; on occasion, we can accommodate an early check-in, depending on our schedule.
Unlike hotel rooms, our vacation rentals are designed as immersive experiences. So when you're here, you're surrounded by the real thing: REAL swords, glass cabinets full of delicate curated objects, ancient tomes, real vintage tools, and antiques.
Some spaces have stone floors and rough wood inside. With this in mind, some of our magical rentals are better suited to fantasy-minded adults rather than active, younger children.
Dragon’s Keep, The Dorm, The Adventure Suite, and the Fairytale Cottage have WiFi available for use during your magical vacation.
You can find passwords on the House Rules page, as well as your check-in instructions. The Groundskeeper’s Hut and The Burrow do not have WiFi available.
Kristi is a magician for interior design and décor, and she loves to share her passion with others. She can give you some tips and tricks to bring more magic into your everyday life.
So don’t hesitate to talk magical decorating with her during your stay.
If you stayed forever, Kristi would soon have you working like a house-elf: cleaning, organizing, painting, or sending you on a mission to find new treasures for the vacation rentals until someone gave you a sock or other item of clothing.

Although we are animal lovers and do have some gentle fur babies for you to interact with during your stay (if you wish), we do not allow pets on the property. Please leave your fur baby with loved ones whilst visiting Fablerealm.
We do welcome certified service animals working with their owners to help in their day-to-day lives. If you will have a service animal, please let us know beforehand, so we can discuss any adjustments before arrival.
Many of the items in our stays are one-of-a-kind finds. Safely packed into her suitcases from her travels, Kristi smuggled trinkets, books, and copper pots from around the world for you to enjoy while at Fablerealm.
Kristi has a knack for finding treasure! We have favorite shops that sell all sorts of magical items and are happy to point you in the direction of a more magical life.
